  • 3 Apr 1958: Beaconsfield loses fine citizen
With feelings of deepest regret we record the passing of another member of one of our pioneer families — Mr. James Adamson, M.M., of "Alta Vista," Soldiers' road, Beaconsfield. Our sympathy goes out to the widow, family and relatives of this splendid citizen.
Mr. Adamson served with the 29th Battalion in the 1st A.I.F. and won the Military Medal.
During a long residence at Beaconsfield, he had lent a helping hand to every worth-while movement, and his death has brought sadness to a wide circle of friends.5
