Obituary | 11 Oct 1945 | MR. BOB COVENTRY. It is with deep regret we announce the death of Mr. Bob Coventry, a well known Frankston identity, and one who saw service in the 1914-18 war and this war. The deceased was employed by Dyson's Motors. He had not enjoyed good health for some time. He was a member of the Frankston R.S.L. His funeral took place on Monday afternoon at Frankston Cemetery. After a service at the Presbyterian Church by Rev. C. H. Ball, the funeral cortege proceeded down Bay Street. Returned men from last war and this war marched in front of the hearse. The deceased served with the 24th battalion in World War 1, and with the A.G.H. in this war. He is survived by a widow, three sons and four daughters. Deceased was given a soldier's funeral, and the coffin was draped with the Union Jack. Many beautiful floral tributes were received. Mr. Coventry was held in high esteem, and sympathy is extended to his wife and family in their sad loss.7 |
