  • 2 Aug 1923: LATE MRS. A. M. HAIG. The death occurred recently, at her home at Middle Brighton, Melbourne, of Mrs, Anna Maria Haig, widow of the late Mr. Robert George Haig, a Melbourne merchant. Mrs. Haig was 90 years of age, and had been a colonist for nearly 50 years. She was the daughter of Mr. William Hackett, and the granddaughter of the Rev. Edward Thomas Hackett, formerly vicar of Erroy, near Dublin. Mrs. Haig arrived in Sydney in December, 1874, by the St. Osyth.4
