    The will, dated November 18, 1893, of Henry John Farmer, late of Richmond, solicitor, has been lodged for probate. The testator died on the 31st of January last, leaving property valued at £9,400, being £5,000 realty and £4,400 personalty. To each of his sons, Alfred Henry Farmer and Samuel Farmer, he gives an organ, and his household furniture to his six children, Alfred Henry, Samuel, Henry John, Albert Ernest, Martha, and Francis William Farmer in equal shares. He also makes the following bequests:—£25 for mourning to such of his children as were living with him ; £25 to his daughter Martha ; £5 to each of his sons ; £50 to each of his sons, Henry John, Albert Ernest, and Francis William, as an equivalent to the organs and piano given to his three other children, in order that they might purchase a memento of him ; and £10 to his former servant, Lizzie Esler. Of the residue a sum of £104 per annum is to be paid to his daughter till her marriage or death, and the remainder is to be divided equally among all his children, Henry John Farmer to have the option of purchasing the testator's late residence in Clifton-street for £600.17

Death-Notice*15 Nov 1909 SMITH.—On the 14th November, Captain Herbert Fellows Smith, husband of Susannah and father of Herbert F. (Durban, S.A.), Susie, and H. D. (late of Huddart Parker, and Co.), in his 65th year.
SMITH.—The Friends of the late Mr. HERBERT FELLOWS SMITH, master mariner, are respectfully invited to follow his remains to their last resting-place, St. Kilda Cemetery.
The funeral is appointed to leave the residence of his son, Mr. H. D. Smith, Bruce street, near Grange-road, Toorak. To-morrow (Tuesday, the 16th inst.), at 3 o'clock.7
