He continued to do so for about five years after the marriage, when on the death of his father he became the owner of the business under his father's will. In about 1922 he sold the business and purchased a dairy farm in Berwick. After nine months at Berwick we lived on his means in Canterbury for a year, then he purchased another bakery business at East Malvern which was conducted until the year 1928. In 1928 we purchased the lease of a block of flats at East Melbourne, since when he has not followed any occupation. |
