  • 6 Feb 1928: Dr. John Pryce Williams, of Murchison, who died on Monday, at the age of 44 years, came from England to Australia several years ago for the benefit of his health. In order to obtain the benefit of abundant fresh air he did a great deal of fishing and shooting, and became widely known in the Murchison district. Recently he returned, after a trip to England. He has left a widow.8

  • 1 Mar 1944: OBITUARY. Mr. Harry Hope-Campbell, who died recently at Western Park, Somers, came from Ireland many years ago, and resided at Western Park for about twenty years, where he carried on grazing. He fought through the Boer war. Many people, including naval men, will miss his hospitality. He married a Miss Graham, and their family consisted of two daughters and three sons. One daughter is unmarried. The other married Captain Ernest Brockman, of the British Royal Marines. The sons were all in the army, and one was killed recently in Sicily.15
