  • 10 Oct 1912: Mr Walter Stuart, one of the oldest settlers in the Berwick district, died on Saturday. Deceased came to Australia from Scotland in the early days, and took an active part in all local matters. About 30 years ago he left Berwick and resided at Mordialloc.
    He was a contemporary of such men as Messrs Wilson, Buchanan, Sweeney and Hanley.11
  • 10 Oct 1912: AFTER the expiration of fourteen days from the publication hereof application will be made to the Supreme Court of Victoria, in its Probate jurisdiction, that PROBATE of the WILL and Four Codicils of WALTER STUART, late of McDonald-street, Mordialloc, in the State of a Victoria, gentleman, deceased, may be granted to the Honourable William Alexander Watt, of Park-street, Moonee Ponds, in the said State, Premier of Victoria, one of the Executors named in and appointed by the said will, John McIndoe, the other executor named therein having predeceased the testator.
