Inquest | 12 Oct 1921 | Inquest held 1921/1031 James Thewlis. Died of broncho-pneumonia at Yarra Bend Asylum. The records show that the deceased James Thewlis, aged 69 years, was admitted to this institution on the warrent produced, on 4.10.21 suffering from senile dementia. He was in very feeble health and unable to walk or give any account of himself. His right leg was swollen up to the hip and the right ankle slightly deformed. He had some bronchitis which appeared to be his main trouble physically. He failed in strength very quickly and died as I have been informed, at 5.45 pm on 10.10.21. (Medical Officer at Yarra Bend Asylum.)4 |
