Mr. Billing came from England associated with the Shell Oil Company and was a foundation member of the B.U. Association and closely connected with many local activities. During the Second World War he served with the R.A.A.F. in South East Asia. After the cessation of hostilities he took up residence in Beaconsfield Upper and was for some time engaged in business in Dandenong. Subsequently he acquired "Fassifern", in a'Beckett Road and then for some eighteen years was poultry farming. Early this year he retired to live in Mathoura where, not long after, he met his untimely and tragic death. Our sympathies to his wife and daughter.12 |
