    A youth named Alpine Campbell was summoned by the pohlce for wilfully and obscenely exposing his person in a public resort, but did not appear when his case was called on, although he looked in at the police station on the morning of the Court day, and represented that his name was not Alfred as in the summons. The police advised him to appear notwithstanding the wrong christian name was on the summons as he was the real person charged with the offence.—The summons was amended, and a warrant for his apprehension was ordered to issue by the Bench.16

    AFTER reaching the grand age of 90 years Mr. Herbert John Pettit, of Campbell St., Berwick, passed away at his home on October 2nd. Deceased, who was pre-deceased by his wife, is survived by three sons, Thomas, Frederick and Jack, and one daughter, Mrs. May Gooding, all of whom have the sympathy of their friends in their loss. After Requiem Mass had been offered up at St. Michael’s by Rev. Torr, the remains were laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery.5

A SOLID W.B. house of four main rooms situate on one acre of land with a frontage of 330 feet to Campbell St., Berwick, was sold by public auction, 7th August last, to Mr. A. J.
