  • 31 Dec 1937: EDITOR OF THE DIGEST DEAD
    Mr Arthur Barclay Haines, editor of the Digest, died in a private hospital at Malvern today. Mr. Haines, who was 54, was born at Prahran, and was unmarried.
    Recently he had been living at Berwick.
    The funeral will leave Sleight's Chapel, St. Kilda Road, at 10.30 a.m. on Monday for the St. Kilda Cemetery. The Rev. R. J. Howell, of St; James Church, West Melbourne, will officiate.8
  • 1 Jan 1938: The death has occurred in a private hospital in East Malvern of Mr. Arthur Barclay Haines, who had lived in the Berwick district for nearly 30 years. He took a keen interest in sport. He was a brother of Mrs. P. V. Langmore, wife of Dr. Langmore of Berwick.9
