Her embroidered tulle veil was caught to the head with a bandeau, and side clusters of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet, of white roses, phlox, and pale pink carnations.
She was attended by her sisters, Miss Genevieve Tydeman wore a sleeveless Early Victorian frock of rainbow taffeta, with yoke and hem of cyclamen georgette. Miss Ena Tydeman's bouffant frock of blush pink taffeta had a petalled hem, and a large taffeta water lily rested at one hip. They wore veils of floral bordered tulle and bandeaux of ribbon and foliage to tone, and carried posies of ageratum, pink carnations and sweet peas. Mr Barry Tydeman, the bride's brother, was best man, with Mr Coleman Davis as groomsman.
The reception was held at Perring's Cafe. Mrs Tydeman wore a black georgette frock, with a petunia georgette vest, and a felt hat to match. A WEDDING of local interest was celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Berwick, on Saturday, October 1st, at 4.30 p.m., when Jacqueline, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hill, formerly of Beaconsfield, was married to Keith Charles, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Mason, Prince's Highway, Officer. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked beautiful in a white French lace gown, made with short puff sleeves and fitting bodice finished with tiny ruchings of net at neck and shoulder line, and full circular skirt trimmed with circles of ruched net, falling into a train. Her full length tulle veil was held in place with a halo of net and orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white gardenias and hyacinths. Her three bridesmaids, Marjorie Milne, Eileen Apted and Eleanor Davies looked charming in long frocks of foam green organdie with matching halos and mittens, and carried bouquets of sweet peas. The groom was supported by the bride’s brothers, Bob and Peter Hill, and Max Mason.
The bride’s mother wore a floral frock of navy and cyclamen silk, with navy straw hat and matching accessories, while the groom’s mother chose a two-piece suit of burgundy with shoes the same shade and lighter straw hat to tone. A reception was held in the Officer Hall where about 100 guests were entertained. After the breakfast, dancing was indulged in to the strains of Humphrey’s orchestra, and further guests made the total about 200.
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mason chose Sydney for their honeymoon, Mrs. Mason wearing a sage green frock with tan hat and accessories and green coat to match.
On their return the happy couple will reside at Yackandandah. Mary Ida Hill17
