  • 22 Jul 1953: BERWICK. A MUCH LOVED and respected Berwick resident, Miss Jessie White, passed away at her home, “Fairview”, Brisbane St., on July 2nd. The late Miss White had lived most of her life at Berwick, and for some years had been the Registrar of Births and Deaths here. When her remains were laid to rest in the Catholic portion of the Berwick Cemetery there was a large crowd of friends present. Rev. Fr. O’Sullivan offered up prayers at the graveside.8
