    Mr. William Howell Swanton, chairman of directors of William Crosby and Co.died at his home in Kew, Melbourne, on Sunday, aged 88.
    Mr. Swanton gave 73 years' service to the company. He also was a director of many other companies associated with the Hobart waterfront.
    He was a member of the United Salvage Co., and a director of the Commercial Bank of Australia.
    Mr. Swanton was buried at Box Hill yesterday.7
