  • 18 May 1928: MR. G. W. HENDERSON to MISS CLARICE R. M. MASTER. A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at the Malvern Presbyterian Church on Thursday March 29, when the bride was Clarice Ritchie, only daughter of Mrs McMaster, Kooyong road, Armadale, and the late Mr. J. H. McMaster, and the bridegroom George William, only son of Mrs. Henderson, Avoca Avenue, St. Kilda, and the late Mr. W. A. Henderson. The Rev. D. Macrae Stewart officiated.
The brides long graceful frock was of heavy cream brocaded marocain, the skirt opening in front to show a panel of lovely lace. The same lace comprised the long, tight fitting sleeves and and a shower bouquet of pale pink and white cactus dahlias and Cecil Brunner roses was carried. Her Limerick lace veil, lent by Mrs. L. D. Hardie, of Singapore, was mounted on a train of billowy tulle and held in place with a bandeau of pearls and diamente.
The bridesmaid was Miss Dorothea McMaster, cousin of the bride, who looked charming in a panniered frock of pale pink georgette and French lace in pastel tones. With this she wore a hat of felt and tulle in ageratum blue and carried a posy of pink carnations and delphiniums.
Little Jean Mathews (niece of the bridegroom) wore a sleeveless blue georgette frock, and a posy of forget-me-nots rested on her fair curls. She carried a basket of pastel toned flowers.
Mr. Dave Robertson was best man.
